Al-Ismaili Tribe is one of the well known and famous Omani tribes in the Sultanate of Oman since the ancient times. Members of the tribe contributed actively to the development of the State and to achieving stability across many centuries. Some of them are connoisseur scholars, judges and rulers who are characterized by prudence, wisdom and good conscience in dispute settlement, management of tribal affairs and the affairs of the people with justice. Tribe members are also famous of their great intimacy, solidarity and family cohesion among each other.
Al-Ismaili tribe is characterized by good Islamic moral and genuine Arab character. The members of the tribe are also known by their generosity, hospitality, unlimited giving and love of benevolence as well as the great cooperation among each other and towards the rest of the tribes and individuals.
The members of the tribal reside in different areas in the Sultanate distributed in 10 central regions within the Sultanate such as Muscat Governorate with its 6 provinces, Al-Dakhiliyah Governorate "Nizwa Province", Al-Sharqiyah Governorate "Ibra and Sour Provinces", Al-Batinah Governorate, "Al-Suwaiq, Rustaq, Nakhl and Al-Houkain", Al-Dhahirah Governorate " Ibri Province" and Al-Buraimi Governorate" Al-Buraimi Province".
The tribe members are known by their veteran history because of their great interest in knowledge and learning where many of them are connoisseur scholars, judges and rulers who are characterized by prudence, wisdom and good conscience and opinion and work as advisers, judges, rulers and Imams. Their achievements are well remembered in the history with proud of the leading and magnificent role they played in the establishment of security and peace.
